The right school management system saves your staff hours every week and keeps parents informed. The wrong one gets abandoned in a month. Use this checklist.
1. Does it handle fees the way you do?
Fees are the heart of a Pakistani school's administration. Check that the system produces fee vouchers, records receipts, tracks dues and keeps a clear ledger for each family — including siblings, concessions and late fees.
2. Is attendance quick for teachers?
If marking attendance takes longer than the paper register, teachers won't use it. It should take seconds per class and alert parents automatically.
3. Do parents get a real app?
Parents want attendance, fees, results, diary and notices on their phone. Ask to see the parent app, not just the admin panel.
4. Does every role get the right view?
Principals, teachers, fee clerks and attendance staff need different screens and different permissions. Look for role-based dashboards — and the ability to create your own roles.
5. Results and report cards
Check marks entry, grading rules and printable result cards that match your format.
6. Multiple campuses
If you have more than one campus, owners need a combined view while each campus keeps its own records.
7. Devices and internet
Staff may use Android phones, Windows computers or a browser. Make sure the system works on all of them.
8. Data safety
Ask who can see what, how access is enforced, and how data is backed up.
